Katie Storey

Senior Manager, Community Engagement & Learning

Katie Storey grew up in the Texas Hill Country and seeks to enhance and support the nonprofit and people-serving sectors by honoring a commitment to center equity and inclusivity. Katie is dedicated to meeting each organization where they are and working to support their goals through the membership program and benefits offered to those members at Mission Capital.

Before joining Mission Capital, Katie worked in the higher education field to support, build community, and encourage philanthropic commitment among students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Katie has served on multiple strategic planning teams, developed mentoring programs, organized large scale purpose-driven events and educational opportunities, and done work to improve systems to maximize meeting the needs of the community. Katie tirelessly looks for creative ways to meet people where they are and grow towards their individual and collective company goals. Katie earned a BA in Psychology from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and an M.Ed. in Counseling with emphasis in Higher Education Administration from Texas State.

In her personal life, Katie enjoys volunteer work centered around overcoming poverty, first-generation student success, and mentorship. She also enjoys travel, live music, outdoor activities, reading and spending time with family and friends. Katie lives in San Antonio with her husband, her two sons, a very chill dog, and a very not chill cat.
