COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS SURVEY

At Mission Capital, we have partnered with Association Trends, a subgroup within Columbia Books, to run this year’s Central Texas Nonprofit Compensation & Benefits Survey.

The survey is currently open and will run through early summer. All Central Texas nonprofit HR leaders and staff are invited to contribute. By participating, you’ll help co-create a robust dataset that will benefit our entire community.

PURPOSE 

Nonprofit employment, recruitment, and retention is an ever-evolving space. We conduct this survey every other year, and release the findings to provide the Central Texas nonprofit community deeper insights and information on compensation and benefit trends and expectations.  

HOW IS THE DATA USED AND STORED?

Our partnership with Association Trends ensures the data is collected and stored securely. They will run the survey and perform the data evaluation. Mission Capital will receive only the data required for public reporting, which will be grouped by organization size, budget, and/or location. We will not have access to specific organization or individual data.  

WHICH VERSION OF THE SURVEY SHOULD I COMPLETE?

There are two survey versions for you to choose from. After you register, you will be asked to complete either the HR or the employee survey. The same email cannot be used for more than one version of the survey. 

  • HR Survey: to be completed only once per organization, by HR leader or ED who has access to all staff compensation and benefits information. 

  • Employee Survey: to be completed by anyone on staff, where they will only report on their perception of their own salary and benefits.

ACCESS TO THE DATA

Completing the HR version of the survey will provide your organization with a free report that includes an overview and data themes. Access to advanced data is tiered and priced on a combination of factors, including survey completion and MC membership status. Scroll down for an overview of the pricing. 

WHY ISN’T THE DATA RELEASED AT NO COST TO THE NONPROFIT COMMUNITY?

Mission Capital is a nonprofit, and there’s a significant cost attached to having data of this magnitude collected, analyzed, and reported. Our goal is to make it more affordable for individual organizations by conducting the research, and then allowing several organizations to pay for access to support that cost. As you will see below, discounts are offered to any organization that participates in the survey, and even deeper ones for MC member organizations.
