Working on Internal Equity Together

On February 4, over 30 members and Mission Capital staff gathered to discuss learn more about nonprofits in our community working internally to incorporate equity into their organizations. Panelists included Ronda Rutledge, CEO, & Naomi Silverman, Development and Communications Manager, of Sustainable Food Center, Rachel Koay, Director of Health and Nutrition of Feeding Texas, and Madge Vasquez, CEO, & Kyla Harrison, Consultant Fellow, of Mission Capital.

Even though each organization is at a different stage in their work, they all shared insight on the introduction of the work, and strategies for implementing an equity lens into daily work and mission alignment. Both panelists and audience members shared valuable resources and suggestions for support, and we’re sharing them below for your reference!
