Mission Accelerator & Philanthropitch Information Session (webinar)

Does your nonprofit have an innovative program, product or service that you're ready to grow dramatically? Do you need an infusion of capital to bring your vision to life? We’re accepting applications for Philanthropitch Austin & the 2017 Mission Accelerator starting February 8th.
 
Before applying to Philanthropitch & the Mission Accelerator, we encourage you to attend an information session to learn more, ask questions and build a winning application.  Executive Directors are highly encouraged to attend this session.

ABOUT PHILANTHROPITCH AUSTIN
Philanthropitch Austin is a social impact, fast-pitch competition that spotlights some of Austin’s most promising nonprofits and the innovative solutions they bring to local challenges. Finalists pitch for financial and human capital to fast-track organizational growth, including more than $100,000 and acceptance into Mission Accelerator, a program of Mission Capital. At the end of the night, the 2017 Mission Accelerator class will be announced and grants will be awarded to support these social innovators in bringing their vision to life. This year, organizations may choose to apply for acceptance into both Philanthropitch and the Mission Accelerator, or those organizations not ready to leverage the intense human capital resources of the Accelerator may choose to apply for only the pitch competition.  All Philanthropitch finalists will joining a growing alumni network in Austin and in cities across the U.S. as Philanthropitch continues to expand in 2017. Finalists receive ongoing networking opportunities. Philanthropitch Austin is presented in partnership with the Notley Fund and Mission Capital.

 

ABOUT MISSION ACCELERATOR
The Mission Accelerator is a five-month program designed to fast-track the growth and impact of Austin-area nonprofits. Accelerator participants engage in group classes and receive one-on-one guidance from nonprofit consultants and some of Austin’s most successful business leaders and social entrepreneurs. To qualify, an organization must be an established 501c3 with an innovative solution that addresses a community need and should have a clear vision and initial plan to significantly grow a program or service.

Upon completing the program, participants will have created a business growth plan with a powerful case for funding and pitch deck. Participants may also gain access to new, creative forms of capital, including $3,000 from Mission Capital for completing the program and an opportunity to pitch for additional investment upon graduation.

Mission Accelerator applications are due on March 3. Selected semi-finalists will be invited to participate in the second stage of the selection process with interviews the week of April 3. Finalists will be notified by April 17 and will present their pitches at Philanthropitch on May 22, where the 2017 Accelerator class will be selected and more than $100,000 will be awarded.
